The multidisciplinary era of endocytic mechanics and functions [Sep 27 - Oct 2, 2015, Mandelieu-la-Napoule, French Riviera]

Travel grants are available for PhD student and post-docs. To apply for travel grants, you must be formally registered for the meeting, i.e. applications must be filed after the payment deadline of June 30, 2015. Please send an informal mail to ludger.johannes@curie.fr, stating your situation and including a CV. The exact amount of travel reimbursement will be determined in function of numbers of applicants and individual criteria (geographic situation of host lab, etc...).

The scientific program is subdivided into the following sessions:
• The physiology of endocytic processes and links to pathology
• Endocytosis and development
• Mechanisms of endocytosis
• Chemical biology of endocytic processes
• Protein sorting into endocytic pathways
• Endocytic aspects of host-pathogen interaction
• Intravital and live cell imaging, instrumentation and physics

All posters will be up for the entire duration of the meeting. Oral presentations will be selected from the poster abstracts.

The meeting will be held at a premium class conference site in a gorgeous setting on the Côte d’Azur (French Riviera) on the banks of La Siagne river, 6 km from Cannes, and 30 min by car from Nice International Airport. The Mediterranean Sea and its beaches are at only 800 m walking distance. The site, which will be fully privatized for the meeting, has all the commodities of a 3 star apart-hotel (free Wifi access in all rooms, balconies, air-conditioning, kitchen commodities with coffee machine and refrigerator…). Double apartments have separate bedrooms. The site includes a swimming pool, sports courts (French boules, football, basketball), a gym, and a Spa with hammam and sauna. Beauty services are provided upon extra payment. The Provencal kitchen will serve wine and food from the region at lunch and dinner, and wine and local snacks at posters. On Thursday night, the conference banquet will be followed by a dancing party until dawn. A bar (at your own cost) will be open every night. An excursion to Grasse, the capital of perfume, is included, much as airport shuttle services on the arrival and departure days.
