Two Postdoctoral Fellow Positions in Molecular Biology at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN, USA)


Two postdoctoral research fellow position are available immediately at Dr. Wenqian Hu’s lab at the Mayo Medical School – Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minnesota) to study the functions and mechanisms of post-transcriptional regulations in mammalian cell differentiation and innate immune responses.


Mayo Clinic is widely regarded as one of the United States' greatest hospitals and ranked No. 1 in the country on the 2016–2017 U.S. News & World Report List of "Best Hospitals" of the United States, maintaining a position near the top for more than 25 years.


The potential candidates will utilize primary cell culture systems and mouse models in combination with high throughput RNA sequencing, ribosome-profiling, CLIP-seq to study how mRNA binding proteins and long noncoding RNAs control gene expression under normal and pathological conditions.


Highly motivated individuals with a recent Ph.D. and a background in biochemistry, molecular biology, or immunology are encouraged to apply. Evidence of scientific publications is required and previous experience with either of the following is desirable: 1) mouse embryonic stem cells; 2) immunology; 3) hematology; 4) RNA biology; 5) Bioinformatics.


The salary is in accordance with the NIH standard. The start time is flexible in 2018.
